Federica Paccagnella

Associate Director

Since 2018 Federica has advised, structured and executed bespoke Warranty & Indemnity, Title and contingent risk insurance policies for Private Equity and Corporate clients on global M&A transactions, divestitures, joint ventures and distressed sales in over 20 jurisdictions. She has built and managed a broad portfolio of clients including PE funds, corporates and advisors servicing them throughout the placement process as well as on assistance with claims. Federica works on transactions across a broad range of sectors, with a particular focus on private equity, infrastructure, retail and renewable energy.

Recent experience

Federica’s recent experience includes:

Assistance to a global investment organization on the acquisition of a 60% stake in an Italian telecoms network
Assistance to a global financial service group on the acquisition of a renewable energy platform in Greece
Assistance to an Italian energy company on the acquisition of a global independent E&P company
Assistance to an Italian real estate fund in the procurement of a contingent title policy covering, among others, surface right and loss of rent risk.

Prior to joining HWF, Federica spent six years in the Private Equity and M&A team at Marsh, focusing on W&I and contingent risk policy placements; prior to that, she worked as an Associate in the M&A department at Legance (both in Milan and London offices).
