Introduction

Leo is an Associate in HWF’s London team. Since joining HWF in 2022, Leo has worked on global transactions (from SME to large cap/over £2bn+) across a broad range of sectors, including financial services, professional services, technology, real estate, with a specialist focus on energy and infrastructure deals.

Prior to joining HWF, Leo studied a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at King’s College London, completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP University Law School and spent 12 years working as an Accountant in both the private and public sectors. She has an interest in languages and speaks French and Spanish.

Energy/Infrastructure

Advised Apollo Global Management, Inc. Funds on their investment in a 50% stake in Ørsted’s Hornsea 3, the world’s largest offshore wind project.
Advised PKA (through its investment manager AIP Management) and PFA in placing the transactional risk insurance for the successful bidders, Octopus Energy, on its acquisition of a 12.5% stake in the operational offshore wind farm, Walney Extension.
Advised Vårgrønn, on its entrance into the German offshore wind market, through placing the transactional risk insurance for its acquisition from PGGM of a 27.4% stake in the operational Baltic 2 offshore wind farm (288MW) of the coast of Germany.
Advised the consortium comprised of renewables yieldco, Bluefield Partners LLP and GLIL Infrastructure on the transactional risk insurance aspects for their acquisition of an operational portfolio of circa 250 MW of UK solar assets.

Advised Waterland Private Equity, on their strategic acquisition of The Cooper Turner Beck Group, a global leading supplier of highly engineered safety critical fastening solutions for energy and power generation, infrastructure and industrial applications.
Advised Vanda, a portfolio company of FPE Capital and a leading provider of specialist research and data products for institutional capital markets investors, on their acquisition of Exante Data, Inc.. Exante Data is a subscription-based digital data and analytics solutions platform.
Advised an affiliate of GREYKITE European Real Estate Fund I in the placement of transactional risk insurance for its acquisition of a pan-European 13-asset logistics portfolio for €350 million, across Germany, France, the Netherlands, Poland and the UK.
